This role balances business acumen and technical skills to deliver best in class curating HR reporting and insights within Workday and other HR Information Systems.

As a Manager, Workforce Reporting & Insights, you will be involved in reporting, projects and initiatives related to HR data, analytics, report design, report creation, dashboards, data consolidation and scheduling of reports to provide insights to our various stakeholders. This involves requirement gathering & stakeholder management, planning, and recommending the most effective way to produce and deliver reports and provide data-driven insights to our business partners to support business objectives.

The successful candidate for this role is a reporting and data analytics expert who understands the HR environment through Workday and our secondary HR Information Systems. You have a passion to design best in class reporting – quick to learn new skills, creating technical specifications, designing high-level queries, and conducting testing to ensure superior quality outputs. Your proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with business partners, capturing reporting requirements and managing change as new reports are introduced will enable our future success.

What will you do?

Design, develop, enhance, and automate operational reports, analytical dashboards, or deliver ad-hoc findings based on business requirements through Workday.

Operate as a subject matter expert in Workday and HR reporting systems.

Function as the primary lead for all HR reporting inquiries and deliveries to stakeholders.

Participate in review of business requirements to determine the appropriate approach both from a technical and business perspective regarding Workday configurations to share where data is available and located.

Conceptualize and understand field types and relationships between Workday business objects to develop analytics and new insights.

Identify opportunities to standardize and scale reports, fine-tune dashboards and curate insights through HR source systems.

Provide production support to Managed Reporting Environment, launched dashboards and self-serve analytical tools to business users, troubleshooting data discrepancies, execute and monitor scheduled processes to ensure deliverables are met.

Run, verify, and dispatch scheduled reports which may involve manual data extraction.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

Minimum 1 year of Workday experience in creating custom reports (advanced, matrix and composite) to analyze real-time data.

Strong knowledge of the Workday ecosystem and ability to conceptualize multiple links to different modules (Security, BP Configuration, Integrations etc.).

Completed formal Workday training for Report Writer and Calculated Fields.

Proficient with SQL and some exposure to set up, administration and use of relational database products such as Teradata, Postgres, MySQL, DB2, Oracle etc.

Strong record of data visualization using Tableau & MS Office suite of products (i.e. MS Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Working knowledge of Python to complete data analysis and data visualization.

Working knowledge of SAP tables and data location to complete data analysis and data visualization.

Ability to efficiently and effectively identify data sources and business objects required to deliver on the reporting request for business partners.

Proven experience in reporting, data analysis and data visualization, with a focus on HR data.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.

Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently, and collaborate with peers, COEs and other stakeholders.

A strong commitment to data accuracy, privacy, and security.

Completed formal Workday training for Report Writer and Calculated Fields.

Nice to have:

Advanced VBA - interfacing and connecting MS Office applications and data processing for reporting.

Experience with or knowledge of Robotic Process Automation and R is valued.

Knowledge of RBC organization and HR systems (e.g. HRIS, recruitment, learning).

Formal Workday or similar HRIS, SAP, SuccessFactors, Service Now training is an asset.

Capability to enhance analytics by leveraging trending and composite reporting.

Working towards or have desire to acquire Workday Pro accreditations.
