About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 09 The Role: As a Virtual Event Manager on our Global Internal Communications team, you will provide support to your Communications colleagues in delivering virtual and hybrid internal / staff engagement events across the S&P Global enterprise. This is a varied position with a host of responsibilities and the opportunity to progress in a variety of ways within the business. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have deep experience in managing the end-to-end delivery of virtual events, including an excellent understanding of virtual platforms, especially Zoom and MS Teams. You will demonstrate the confidence to collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders, clients and speakers, as well as excellent organization, listening and communication skills. Specifically, the candidate will be able to assume the role of technical facilitator for our virtual events to: Run a Zoom and Teams event behind the scenes, and competent with the use of zoom host controls Schedule events including setting up registration forms, polls, confirmation emails and reminder emails Set up tech-checks and send calendar invitations to speakers/panelists for tech checks ahead of events Run event rehearsals to test technologies and address any concerns, and identify any specific presenter needs, e.g. training/coaching Coordinate set-up of branding elements when required (waiting room videos, backgrounds for presenters) Ensure the correct settings are in place during an event and things run smoothly (for example, locking a meeting, disabling the chat etc.) Share content on screen and ensure a nice viewing experience for the audience (spotlighting presenters, switching to gallery view for Q&A sessions) Play music if required Manage breakout rooms & waiting rooms Act as MC by introducing the event and handing over to the facilitator Provide live technical help to presenters and attendees Manage the post-event process including recording management, reporting and analysis Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline At least 5 years of experience working in a large corporate environment Deep webinar support experience – in-depth knowledge of hosting and managing the logistics of virtual events (both webinars and meetings) in Zoom and Teams is essential Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills Fluency in English speaking/writing essential Ability to work independently and within a team environment Calm, resilient, and the ability to work well under pressure with senior stakeholders Highly organized, detail conscious, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Facility with Microsoft suite #LI-CBS What’s In It For You?
