We are seeking an innovative, analytical leader with a global mindset to join our team as a Manager, Trade Compliance\. This position partners with key stakeholders providing import guidance to ensure compliance with U\.S\. regulations while enabling successful international business activities\. In this role, you will continuously improve Bell’s global trade program through automation, process streamlining, training, risk assessments, etc\. The Manager, Trade Compliance must demonstrate deep understanding of the various regulations governing global trade and is responsible for reviewing import transactions to ensure compliance with Customs and Participating Government Agency requirements\. The Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing compliant free trade agreement programs for Bell to mitigate tariff costs\. **What you’ll be doing as a Manager, Trade Compliance:** + Lead Bell’s import compliance program and maintain knowledge of U\.S\. global trade regulatory requirements as they apply to Bell’s business\. + Keep abreast of regulatory and industry trends, developments, and best practices and ensure communication of same to Bell personnel including executive Orders, Federal Trade and US Customs Cargo Systems Messaging Services notices as well as advising business and international affiliates regarding import and export compliance in response to changes in regulations and business needs\. + Design, document, implement, and maintain systems to qualify products/transactions for tariff reductions under special trade programs \(e\.g\. USMCA, temporary import bonds\. + Maintain required records and manage Bell's Customs brokers and freight forwarders\. + Perform audits/self\-assessments as well as develop education, training, and import awareness\. + Provide or participate in global trade compliance training at Bell, other Textron Business Units, and Corporate Office locations\. + Maintain a positive work environment and actively collaborate with internal and external customers as well as other duties as assigned\. **Qualifications** **Skills You Bring To this Role:** + Experience researching, interpreting, and applying export/import control regulations applicable in the U\.S\. + Must be a well\-organized self\-starter with the ability to multi\-task and prioritize work with excellent judgement and discretion\. + Demonstrated ability to build effective teams to work complex issues across departments, levels, and with external customers\. + Experience identifying training needs and developing and delivering training to fill knowledge gaps\. + Superior interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem\-solving environment\. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\. + Excellent judgment and discretion\. **What you need to be successful:** + 5 years of global trade compliance experience\. + Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field OR U\.S\.
