Position Overview
Support the Director, Total Rewards- International and the Director, HRBP- Malaysia in the development and execution of a comprehensive reward strategy for Insulet Malaysia and other APAC territories (currently China and Singapore), which is aligned with Insulet's overarching goals, market-competitive and compliant with all relevant regulations.
Lead the integration between reward strategy and flawless execution in partnership with HR Operations and Advisory. Guide, coach and mentor HR colleagues on Total Rewards topics and the operation of Reward policies and processes.
Reward Strategy and Policy Development
Lead the development and evolution of policies in all areas of reward for Malaysia (pay, incentives, benefits and employee services, expense allowances, and terms and conditions of employment), pro-actively and in response to organizational growth and regulatory change. Collaborate with Legal and Compliance colleagues and external consultants to monitor and interpret local laws and respond as required.Support organization planning and design, operating the Insulet Global Career Framework (GCF). Contribute to other Total Rewards and Malaysia HR projects as required.Identify and evaluate benefits enhancements to meet the needs of our employees, and maintain our competitive position in the marketplace.Ensure that policy change takes place in close partnership with HR Services, Payroll, Advisory and other key collaboration partners and stakeholders. Partner with HR colleagues to document key processes and support flawless execution.Reward Operations
Lead on the daily management of Total Rewards in Malaysia. Ensure timely resolution of benefits and compensation inquiries escalated from the HR Operations and Advisory teams. Support the wider HR team in resolving complex issues and queries.Act as first-point of contact for benefits brokers and vendors, and oversee benefits administration support by HR Operations.Lead on all benchmarking and job evaluation exercises for Insulet Malaysia and APAC, up to Director level.Participate in compensation and benefits surveys, plan and conduct research and analysis on market competitiveness and trends and present recommendations for discussion with HR colleagues and Insulet Malaysia management team.Support the annual Reward Cycle for Malaysia, including pay reviews, bonus cycles, and benefits renewals.Assist with compensation and benefits analysis, budgeting and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of reward programs.Support onboarding and new hire briefings by the wider HR team.Lead on compliance and reporting activities for Reward.Collaborate with Total Rewards colleagues in the management of compensation and benefits for other APAC locations (China, Singapore and others tbd).HR Systems and Technology
Lead the HR Operations team in conducting periodic reviews and audits of Workday data relating to Total Rewards policies and programmesLiaise with HRIS on Workday development and exploitation. Provide operational support for the implementation of new rewards programs, technology and processes.Expatriate Management
Provide local support for the Manager, Global Mobility (US-based) and guidance to Malaysia HR Operations colleagues in administering expats and business travellers.Oversee administration and tracking of immigration and visa activity, international employment contracts, management of split salary individuals and relocation and expatriate management (working closely with Kinetix). Keep a pulse on changes in international employment laws.Talent Attraction, Engagement and Retention
Lead initiatives to showcase Insulet’s compensation and benefits in support of talent attraction and retention. Create compelling narratives and materials, both in digital and physical form, that highlight the unique and competitive aspects of our Total Reward packages. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to integrate reward communications into employer branding, underscoring the organization's commitment to employee wellbeing and satisfaction.Organize and promote 'Benefits Education Days', ‘Retirement Awareness Sessions,' and other similar events, to increase awareness, appreciation and utilization of Insulet’s benefits plans.
Education and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant qualificationAt least 5 year’s experience in Human Resources within public company environments operating and supporting Malaysia compensation and benefits programs, including salary management and benchmarking as well as some or all of: incentive compensation, job evaluation, employee benefit plans, expat mobility and HR policy writing.Manufacturing / Operations sector experience, or other similar experience supporting large hourly employee populations in 24/7 environment. This includes experience supporting direct labour / blue collar employees.Skill in handling employee queries and communication.Excellent English language skills; able to work /communicate across all levels of the organization.Ability to work independently to solution complex reward issues and queries; and to coach, guide, mentor and collaborate with colleagues including non-Reward specialists.Resourceful and thrives in fast paced, nimble organization with ability to self-prioritize; demonstrates strong ability to forge relationships and understand new concepts quicklyExperience with Workday or other HRIS platformStrong skills with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Preferred Skills and Experience:
International compensation and benefits experience is advantageous, but not essentialExperience with Aon-Radford, Mercer and WillisTowersWatson surveys and methodologies particularly desirable.Compensation, benefits, job evaluation and/or HR certifications desirable.Experience or qualifications in employee relations, employment law and/or payroll
