Manager, Therapy Development 

Mitral and Tricuspid Regurgitation (MR/TR) are progressive, underdiagnosed, and undertreated diseases impacting millions of Americans. The Therapy Development team at Edwards Lifesciences is dedicated to transforming the diagnosis and treatment of MR/TR by fostering a sense of urgency among referring cardiologists and empowering patients with knowledge of advanced transcatheter therapies, including PASCAL, EVOQUE, and SAPIEN M3.

Our mission is to drive behavioral change amongst General Cardiologists (GCs) and Heart Failure Specialists (HFS), ensuring timely referral and treatment for eligible patients. We focus on simplifying the patient journey, breaking down barriers to referral, and streamlining processes for clinicians and patients. By addressing critical knowledge gaps in disease stratification, eligibility, and referral timing, we aim to improve patient outcomes and establish Edwards as the preferred partner for MR/TR therapies.

Position Summary:  The Therapy Development Manager will play a pivotal role in transforming the patient pathway, breaking down barriers to treatment, and elevating Edwards Lifesciences as the leader in MR/TR therapy development.

How you will make an impact:

Support the launch and expansion of the Therapy Development commercial team to drive in-field activation and engagement with GCs and HFS.

Pilot and scale digital engagement and nurture strategies, leveraging multi-channel and omni-channel marketing approaches to reach and activate target audiences.

Develop and deploy educational resources and tools for healthcare professionals and patients, with a focus on clarity, confidence, and urgency in referral and treatment decisions.

Partner with commercial teams to provide relevant information as needed.

Effectively communicate programs to doctors, heart teams and internal stakeholders.

Utilize performance analytics, field insights, and continuous optimization to ensure the effectiveness of campaigns and resources.

Drive marketing collateral through all relevant legal and regulatory approval processes through collaboration with relevant cross-functional stakeholders for programs and initiatives.

Manage vendor relationships in accordance to Edwards Credo.

Oversee research and other special projects.

Domestic travel up to 25%.

What you will need (required):

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent plus 5 years of experience working in downstream marketing, professional education or healthcare industry or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria OR Master's Degree or equivalent plus 3 years of experience working in sales, downstream marketing, professional education or healthcare industry or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria.

What else we look for (preferred):

Cardiology or structural heart experience

Expert understanding of related aspects of marketing concepts and principles.

Ability to lead self and others and manage ambiguity in a fast-paced, patient focused environment.

Represents leadership on projects within a specific working closely with cross-functional team, marketing peers and leaders and managing needs and messaging to upper management.

Possess capability to think and act strategically while maintaining attention to detail

Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.

Possess or quickly develop strong clinical knowledge, experience and knowledge of the clinical areas where Edwards' products are used or intended to be used, understand the decision-making process and challenges for therapy adoption in complex healthcare networks.

Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization.

Extensive understanding of broad market research designs, develops market research programs coordinating with the global VOC manager and demonstrates an in-depth understanding of commercial goals behind research.

Proven successful project management skills.

Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.

Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $108,000 to $153,000 (highly experienced).
