Manager, Tax- Indirect Tax Planning
Position Summary...Walmart is looking to hire a Manager, Tax - Indirect Tax Planning expert that will, among other things, serve as a liaison with our business partners advising on indirect tax issues that may arise from our purchasing activities. This role will also manage sales and use tax processes that will support the tax health of the company. The ideal candidate will have no less than four years of sales, use, and excise tax experience and have familiarity with tax engine software and ERP systems.

The Indirect Tax team at Walmart is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of transaction taxes charged to customers and members shopping online and at our over 10,000 brick-and-mortar Walmart and Sam’s Club global locations. The transaction scale and scope of complexity of taxation at Walmart will attract individuals who are excited to navigate novel challenges and engaged by intellectually stimulating work.

What you'll do...Developing partnerships – Develop relationships with business operations and becoming the resident tax-expert to assist with their needsTax research - Interpret state and local indirect tax laws to identify strategies to minimize tax liabilityAnticipating and managing change - Support new business activities to analyze and interpret indirect tax impactsTeamwork - Provide support to other members of the Indirect Tax team on areas such as those related to indirect tax issues and new laws and/or regulationsValue creation - Review historical purchases to identify sales and use tax refund opportunities What you’ll bring... 4+ years of experience in indirect taxExperience at global companies in retail and ecommerce industriesProficiency with ERP systems, data tools, and tax software designed for corporate scaleExcellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field and 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance, income tax
