Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. Job DescriptionThe Manager of Talent Strategy & Development will support NBCUniversal News Group’s efforts to grow and retain top on-air talent across platforms. Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional partners, this role will help execute key talent initiatives and provide operational support in identifying, tracking, and developing on-air talent in a rapidly evolving media environment.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of news content and programming across both digital and linear platforms, and a keen eye for identifying emerging talent. They are highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of discretion.
Responsibilities:
Support execution of talent strategy initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership, Human Resources, and Legal and Business AffairsMaintain and update internal databases of current and prospective on-air talentTrack contractual information in coordination with LegalMaintain and update database of all contractual information for on-air talent, as well as non-staff contributorsMaintain programming schedules for all network shows and platforms, and related key metricsAssist with tracking performance and development needs of on-air talent across platformsSupport the recruitment process for new on-air talent, including outreach and coordination with external candidatesCoordinate onboarding and necessary training for new on-air talentManage contract tracking during negotiationsPrepare background materials and assist in drafting presentations or talent proposalsEnsure consistent communication and coordination with internal partners regarding staffing needs and timelinesUphold high standards of confidentiality and professionalism in all talent-related mattersQualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in a media, newsroom, or talent-related environment, preferably within a major news organizationProven ability to handle sensitive information with discretionExperience collaborating with HR, Business Affairs, or Employment Law on staffing and contract mattersIn depth knowledge of network shows and platformsFamiliarity with the on-air talent lifecycle and what makes a successful correspondent or hostStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProven ability to handle sensitive information with discretionMust be based in or able to commute to NYC at least 3 days per weekPreferred Characteristics:

Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 (bonus eligible)
