What is the opportunity?   

Reporting to the Director, Sustainability & Impact Communications, this role is an opportunity to do meaningful work that aligns with your values. The Manager will play an important enterprise role in shaping and delivering internal and external communications about RBC’s sustainability ambitions and actions, our culture and corporate citizenship efforts.  

What will you do?  

Manage the development of internal communications plans and content for Sustainability & Impact priority initiatives and enterprise storytellingAdvise and collaborate with Sustainability & Impact, communications, marketing, social media, business, HR and other functional partners on content, change programs and other projects as requiredDrive compelling storytelling, employee engagement and participation in Sustainability & Impact activities to drive impact for our clients, employees and communitiesContinuously improve processes and practices with a focus on metrics and innovation to support communications success and efficiency

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have 

4+ years of communications experience with a track record for building trusted relationships and providing communications advice and insights to key partners and teamsUndergraduate degree/post-graduate certificate or equivalent in communications, public relations, journalism, English or a related fieldExcellent communications skills – written, verbal and interpersonal; strong review and editing skillsExperience with internal engagement strategies and external communicationsAbility to navigate ambiguity, connect the dots and simplify informationDeadline-driven and detail-oriented with effective time management in juggling multiple projects

Nice-to-have

Knowledge of RBC’s businesses and functions as well as the ambitions of RBC’s Purpose Framework – Ideas for People & PlanetTM  Change communications experience
