The Manager Strategic Sales Merchandise Planning will lead in annual, quarterly, and monthly sales forecasting activities for Strategic Sales channel. Collaborate with Program Managers to identify sales risks and opportunities and provide recommendations. Spearhead the development of an open-to-buy process in order to maximize sales and optimize inventory. Oversee planners in creating and managing inventory by division and class. Synthesize weekly/monthly data to develop rich insights on findings and make recommendations to allow Program Manager to address risks and opportunities to support the financial goals.
a day in the life:
Drive annual, seasonal and monthly sales plan and Open To Buy (OTB) for Strategic Sales Channel. Lead and present OTB plans monthly to leadership team while recapping business performance and identifying risks and opportunities. Work cross functionally with external and internal cross functional partners to align on forward looking strategy to delivery design intention and financial goal. Lead in the development and creation of pre-season assortment plans using historical and trend. Actively identifying roadblocks and calendar challenges to execute timely deliverable. Coach and develop a high-performance team, providing clear and actionable feedback.Execute business activities to drive financial results that maximize sales, profitability, and inventory productivity. Implement inventory plans that maximize partner demand for multiple categories, bringing-to-life the assortment strategies.qualifications:
College certificate or university degree is required.3+ year’s experience in people management 2-year department strategy experience to support managing a 5 year roadmap.Experience and proven ability in coaching, mentoring and leading a team of direct reports.Proven ability to work with and lead a cross functional teamExcellent team player as well as the ability to work independently.Effective communication skills (written & verbal) & extremely organized, thorough and able to prioritize.Detail orientated & analytical.Results oriented – strong sense of motivationSelf directed problem solver, proactive and resourceful.must haves:Acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for your life.Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovate to achieve great results.
