Overview The Manager, Strategic Pricing provides leadership and structure to the Strategic Pricing team. She/he drives improved sales and profitability by optimizing pricing across multiple merchandising departments, geographies, channels. She/he oversees capability implementation (processes, systems, and analytics) to provide Merchandising teams with incremental opportunities to drive sales and margin in alignment with company vision and priorities. She/he will build strong Pricing areas of excellence, supporting Merchandising teams with tools and structure to optimize the business. Overview of Responsibilities Provide leadership and structure in developing consumer-focused solutions that advance pricing strategy, promotions, and associated processes Partner with MP&A and Merch Data teams on Power BI based suite of tools bringing analysis and insights to the Merchandising team Provide recommendations, improve and maintain clearly defined processes and procedures for positive results, and identify incremental opportunities to drive the business Lead team to continuously optimize pricing and promotions Design and recommend KPIs that measure and drive pricing and promotional performance against the strategic vision Direct pricing pilot approach to testing, detailing design of specific tests and coordinating rollout/ launch in stores, and using analytics to dynamically adapt and refine pricing tactics Demonstrate strong business judgement in overseeing recommendation of price changes based on historical analyses, competitive price intelligence and inflationary/ cost impacts Champion and Measure/report out on new merchandising tests, initiatives, and proof of concept strategies Lead team of direct Analyst reports. Accountable for team's accuracy, thought process, timeliness, and viability of recommendations Empower, support, and develop talent as the next generation of leaders to perform to their maximum potential Create a strong, mutually supportive work spirit and culture where people can do their best #LI-CS1 Qualifications 5+ years’ experience in retail/CPG company/consulting with progressively increasing responsibility Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, analytics preferred 2+ years’ experience building, leading, motivating teams Expert Knowledge of retail, merchandising and end-to-end process in a multi-channel retail environment Merchandising experience including pricing, assortment planning, financial planning, item planning, location planning, category management Experience with retail price optimization tools and third-party competitive data providers Highly adept in various systems, including superior Excel and PowerPoint skills Analytical mindset with detail orientation and entrepreneurial work ethic – in short, a “general athlete” Demonstrated success in leading teams and efforts to create process efficiencies Comfortable manipulating large amounts of data and problem-solving, generating impactful recommendations – bringing insights to action Ability to present and calibrate on critical challenges on the executive level Benefits In addition to a rewarding career, Sprouts offers a comprehensive program to help support you and your family.
