Manager, Specialist Sales, Small & Medium Enterprise
Overview:
The Manager, Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) will be part of the Commercial and New Payment Flows (CNPF) Team which is responsible for advancing the Mastercard SME business efforts in China and directly reports to Vice President, SME, Greater China Division.
The individual will be responsible for China SME business development.
For example but not limited to SME product development and sales to internal partners and issuers, and the individual will be partnering with the Division Product/Segment Leads to deliver GDV, new customers, share and revenue objectives for the market and solve customers’ pain points. This role will require the ability to work both independently and in close partnership with internal/external stakeholders, great SME product knowledge support, influencing skills, and innovative approaches to product development, underpinned by great analytical capabilities.
Role:
- The key objectives of this role are to deliver growth of the SME portfolios, and achieve high growing targets in terms of new wins, GDV, revenue and/or share through the following activities:
- Possess deep knowledge of SME payment market products and programs from both an issuer and end-user client perspective.
- Develop strategy and recommend new, differentiated features and benefits to enhance the SME sales and optimization strategy for existing and prospective issuers, 3rd party partners and their clients to drive new business and incremental growth for Mastercard's SME portfolio.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Account Team, Regional Product leads, Division Customer Solutions Center Team, Marketing, Finance…etc. As well as third parties/strategic partners to support new card product launches and/or enhancements and go-to-market initiatives.
- Provide consultative sales enablement, especially during complex and cross-departmental sales/product discussions through the combination of deep functional skills and a thorough understanding of Mastercard's assets, positioning the organization as the best product partner for the customer.
Negotiate successfully & reach mutually beneficial solutions for all parties on product solutions. Proactively identify opportunities to create customized product solutions.
- Monitor the landscape of competitive products and industry trends, understand their implications on the Mastercard SME portfolio, and make the necessary business adjustments.
- Address customers’ pain points by providing all-rounded Mastercard solutions to drive best-in-class customer experience. And
effectively communicate the launch of new products, services & platforms and/or enhancements to internal stakeholders and external customers through bulletin announcements, briefing sessions, PR, customer pitches, etc.
- Act as link between Global/Regional SME Business team and Greater China teams in developing new card propositions and narratives, and best practice sharing.

-Skilled in B2B sales, stake-holder management, with demonstrated ability to deliver targets and results.
-Relevant industry experience preferred, such as banking, payments, consulting, financial services, SME, etc.
-Track record of initiating new approaches to doing business and driving implementation to deliver tangible business results.
-Strong team player with good communication and presentation skills to operate within a cross-functional team environment.
-Strong research, analytical, solutioning and technical skills.
-Good at coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
-Skilled at management reporting and gathering insights from granular data in order to influence decision making.
-Strong in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
