Schwabis recruiting to hire a driven, results-oriented Software Development Engineer who shares our passion for technology, innovation, and excellence. Our main goal at Schwab is to transform people’s lives by changing the way the world invests. This role will be a dynamic, cross-skills position including hands-on development, design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines built on GitHub Actions and Workflows The ideal candidate excels in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and is passionate about developing multi-faceted solutions to solve complex, time-critical problems. You will be part of the Delivery Pipeline team and will help design, develop, and support the GitHub platform used by all Schwab Technology teams.

KeyResponsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain multi environment CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions/WorkflowsIntegrate tests, security checks, and approvals; improve pipeline speed, observability, and resilienceSupportLaunchDarklyusage (flags, environments, roles/policies, SDK/API integrations)Partner across US–India time zones; document patterns and mentor teammatesTroubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvementWhat you have

RequiredQualifications:

3–5 years of professional experience with GitHub (repos, Actions, Workflows, environments, branch protections)Strongproficiencywith YAML and JavaScript as well as some scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, or PythonStrong knowledge of common build tools (Maven/Gradle/NPM)3-5 years of experience working with a server-side language like Java or C# (.NET)Experience integrating tests and static/dynamic analysis into pipelinesExposure toLaunchDarklyor similar feature flag platformsAbility to collaborate across US-India time zones and communicate clearlyDevOps mindset: automation-first, reliability, observability, and continuous improvementAbility to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with containerized CI/CD jobs and enterprise runner managementKnowledge of GitHub Advanced Security and secrets managementFamiliarity with cloud platforms (especially GCP) and related technologies like Terraform/Helm/KubernetesPrior contribution to reusable actions/workflow librariesExperience refiningLaunchDarklyroles/policies and working with vendor support
