About the role: 

Manager Software Engineering position responsible for design, implementation and support of Azure based data driven products to help fulfill our Consulting & Insights Technology strategy. 

 

What you’ll do:  

Demonstrate a deep knowledge of Azure services and ability to operationalize, leading data technologies and best practices. 

Establish new data engineering capabilities for standalone data-driven products and service. 

Contribute to the review and analysis of business requirements. 

Document & review detailed technical design & architecture 

Perform and participate in code reviews, peer inspections and technical design/specifications. 

Be able to work in teams and collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements. 

Be able to innovate and showcase new approaches to improve efficiency. 

Be able to work in a globally distributed team in an Agile/Scrum approach. 

  

What you’ll need: 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience in the field of software development. 

8 - 10 years’ experience as a data engineering professional with exposure to GenAI and strong track record of developing data-based products using Azure Data Engineering Stack (ADLS, ADF, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions), Python libraries. 

2+ Years’ experience mentoring a small team and guiding them along the sprint delivery 

Must Have 

Proficient in Unity Catalog, Spark and Azure Databricks for data engineering use cases. 

Proficient in Python programming and extensive knowledge of libraries like Flask/FastAPI, Pandas, NumPy  

Proficient in SQL on relational databases (MySQL/Postgres/SQL Server) 

Strong understanding of API development and backend routines in cloud environment 

 

Good to have 

Exposure to MosaicAI(formerly Databricks Machine Learning) ecosystem to deliver on GenAI , ML use cases would be a plus. 

Exposure to Generative AI design patterns 

Exposure to Ataccama 

Exposure to DevOps would be a plus.
