Join an industry leader in scientific instrumentation as a Software Engineering Manager, where you'll lead teams developing advanced software solutions that enable breakthrough scientific discoveries. You'll guide the development of sophisticated software applications that power electron microscopes, analytical instruments, and laboratory automation systems. REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience, with 5+ years in technical leadership roles
• Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• Technical certifications like SAFe, Scrum, or ISTQB a plus
• Strong expertise in Agile methodologies including Scrum and SAFe frameworks
• Experience leading distributed teams of 10-30 software professionals
• Experience delivering complex software systems using modern technology stacks (.NET, Java, Python, Cloud platforms)
• Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor, coach and develop engineering talent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating across teams
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks
• Experience building effective teams and promoting engineering excellence
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with technical leadership
• Strong project and resource management capabilities
• Travel required up to 10-25%
• Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus
• Experience in scientific/analytical instrumentation or regulated environments preferred
