The Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting is responsible for leading the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, conducting complex technical accounting research, and supporting internal financial reporting processes. This individual will collaborate extensively with the general ledger team, tax, legal, and internal/external auditors, while also contributing to cross-functional initiatives, process improvements, and special projects. The role is vital to ensuring compliance with SEC, GAAP, SOX, and PCAOB standards and maintaining the company’s high-quality reporting standards.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate and timely Forms 10-K and 10-Q, and contribute to other SEC filings.Oversee preparation, review, and tie-out of all supporting schedules.Coordinate with internal and external auditors for quarterly and annual filing support.Prepare disclosure checklists and supplemental schedules to ensure full compliance with reporting requirements.Partner with internal/external stakeholders on drafting business descriptions, industry overviews, risk factors, and other narrative components for filings.Prepare sections of Management’s Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) with FP&A and operational teams.Lead the review of quarterly and annual earnings releases.Assist in drafting the annual Proxy Statement.Ensure accuracy of XBRL tagging and related requirements.Conduct research on SEC, GAAP, and PCAOB regulations; stay current on new and emerging standards.Prepare technical accounting memoranda and implement new accounting standards.Support development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.Provide leadership with timely regulatory updates and impact analyses.Ensure compliance with SOX financial reporting controls.Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.Maintain equity records and ensure accurate reporting of equity-related transactions.Work closely with finance, tax, legal, and operational teams to support business initiatives.Assist with internal financial reporting and ad hoc projects, including systems implementations and process improvement initiatives.Essential SkillsStrong knowledge of accounting principles including CPA, SEC reporting, SOX, and technical accounting.Experience with public accounting is required.Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is mandatory.Experience working in a public company environment.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster’s degree preferred.Indirect supervisory experience is preferred.Industry-specific background is not necessary.Work EnvironmentThis position is onsite in Boca Raton, FL, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with overtime as needed during peak periods. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
