The Manager, Sales Operations is responsible for ensuring sales teams are running as efficiently and productively as possible. The incumbent in this role is accountable for optimizing the organization’s digital CRM — customer relationship management — system to ensure there is clear and effective communication between the sales team and clients. He/She is also responsible for the management, administration and execution of sales incentive plans across multiple sales markets and sales roles. This role includes a healthy amount of data tracking and analysis to provide stakeholders with recommendations and insights to improve performance. The Manager, Sales Operations is also responsible for automation of processes, systems, reports, and strategies optimizing business functions to meet organizational goals. The Manager, Sales Operations is expected to deliver measurable results through sales revenue growth and data reporting & analysis.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops, designs and manages reports, analytics and dashboards that identify sales performance trends intended to increase efficiencies and improve performance.Identifies opportunities for sales process improvement and workstream automation. Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.Compiles requirements and documentation of requests and standard operating procedures (SOPs) including graphical representation of process flow.Supports communications, meetings, and other collaborations as appropriate to effectively perform work and to understand, resolve, and/or mitigate risks, obstacles, and/or conflicts.Collaborates in cross-departmental projects with Sales, BI, IT, and other departments as needed to support sales and corporate-wide initiatives.Consults in the creation and review of incentive programs, streamlining of business processes or workflow automation to provide recommendation on best practices within Salesforce and other sales tools.Sales Incentive Plans: Manages sales incentive process from end-to-end, to ensure financial accuracy and timely execution of sales incentive payments for multiple sales roles, including sales management. Extracts and consolidates data from CRM systems such as SalesForce and Power BI to identify the sales records to be reviewed, and to validate those records against established sales incentive plans for each sales role.Manages the development of automated and manual audits of sales records to determine final disposition and incentive outcome.Computes and processes incentive payments for multiple sales roles/groups, including the incorporation of new hires and removal of terminations/non-eligible individuals to ensure budget compliance and reconciliation.Communicates and works with sales management to ensure timely and confidential exchange of monthly incentive data and appropriate management of inquiries from sales colleagues.Develops and conducts training for new hires on sales incentive process to advocate best practices and improve data-entry quality. Manages and processes other seasonal/ad-hoc incentive contests.Establishes and performs quality-control audits to maintain accuracy and fiscal integrity of the sales incentive program and to reduce the probability for errors which could have financial implications for the organization.Reporting and Analytics:Manages the maintenance of existing sales reports and develops new reports as needed for all sales markets.Works with the sales and business applications teams to identify opportunities for improvement and to streamline business processes.Generates ad-hoc reports and dashboards to analyze key performance indicators and Salesforce effectiveness and metrics.Creates and communicates data-driven analysis to assist sales leadership in managing sales performance.Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Highly-developed business acumen and acuityStrong knowledge and understanding of general Sales programs, best practices, functions, processes and procedures, principles and techniquesStrong understanding of data analysis and forecasting methodsSuperior analytical skillsExcellent follow-ups, communication and people skillsSuperior attention to detail, project management skills a plusCapability to lead a team of professionals with successful outcomesAbility to compile, assess and communicate results of data in both a detail and graphical format, including the ability to present resultsSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
