Job Responsibility:
External Customers – New & Existing
1.Lead Team to insure direct customer contacts through respective sales channels and consignee sales trips:
2.Identify and develop potential, sustainable customer relationships
3.Lead Team to Develop and maintain strong existing customer relations and loyalty
4.Road Show and Summit
Internal:
1.Develop with team sales priorities/targets (volume/price) and business plan for assigned trade lane(s) on Region/Sub Region level
2.Formulate and coordinate business development strategies between local and overseas sales management
3.Provide input for annual trade lane budgeting
4.With team ,Steer local sales force by identifying opportunities on assigned trade lane(s), launching, managing sales campaigns and driving volume/density initiatives on assigned trade lane(s) as needed
5.Insure team Provide selling tools for assigned lanes such as benchmarking and selling kit for sales
6. Act as consultant and subject matter expert to Sales
7. Plan and execute overseas visits and act as enabler for overseas Sales
8.Establish and agree trade lane must-win customer list together with Sales and Products
9.Manage pipeline size and hit ratio on assigned trade lane(s)
10.Interface with RFQ team on focus lanes (provide input on strategic relevance of the customer which is related to the must-wins)
11.Interface with all Sales Channels/Products to capitalise on cross functional opportunities
12.Proactively work on service innovation and offerings with products to increase business
13. Monthly reporting / monitoring / root cause analysis of trade lane sales performance
14. Development of actions where targets are not met
15. Participate with product to the capacity planning , carrier strategy planning
Trade Lane Business Development
1.Develop potential trade lane related business
2.Maintain and grow existing trade lane(s)
3.Conduct local and overseas Road Show and Summit
4.Conduct market profiling and customer/competitor research & analysis activities to understand and identify market opportunities and challenges
5.Develop effective pricing strategies to sustain profitable growth in cooperation with Product teams
Driver and Promoter
1. Responsible for achieving business targets and KPIs for assigned trade lane(s)
2.Steer sales by defining, monitoring and enforcing sales targets according to action plans
Strategic Interface to market development
1.Implement initiatives to derive constant improvement and optimization of service and rate levels
2.Identify market risks and opportunities
Consultancy
Share trade lane related knowledge and provide support to Sales Channels/Industry Sectors/RFQ and Product Teams
Controlling:
1.Monthly monitoring of trade lane performance
2.Provide visibility on pipeline size on trade lane level
3.Supervise budget compliance
Job Requirement:
1.Post Secondary education requested, industry related degree holder preferred
2.Good command of English both in writing and speaking.
3.Minimum 5 years experience in sales position
4.Track record in freight forwarding sales
5.Good organization skill
6.Excellent Microsoft Excel and PPT skills
7.Good local thinking and analytical skills
8.Basic consultative skill
9.Good negotiation skill
