The mission of Charles Schwab Trust Bank (Trust Bank) is to bring together expertise and resources to help deliver the best trust and custody services for Schwab Retirement Plan Services, independent recordkeepers, and investment advisors by offering a broad range of investments, technology, products, and services that meet the needs of retirement plan providers and the participants they serve.
The Manager is a retirement plan trust and custody regulatory subject matter expert and product owner for Trust Bank fiduciary products, including the Charles Schwab Trust Bank Collective Investment Funds.
Key responsibilities will include:
Administration, oversight and product governance for Trust Bank Collective Trust Funds (CTFs), including vendor oversight and collaboration, new account documentation review, reconciliations, trade approvals, and regulatory filings.egulatory subject matter expert with responsibility for identification and reporting of abandoned plans, responses to legal and regulatory inquiries from agencies such as DOL, PBGC, IRS, and SEC, AML inquiries, and preparation of specific regulatory reports including Form 5500 Schedule HAct as regulatory subject matter expert, handling inquiries, reporting, and filings with agencies such as DOL, PBGC, IRS, and SEC.Support internal and external audits, prepare management and committee reports, and ensure timely, accurate documentation and responses.Develop and maintain compliant policies and procedures; facilitate biennial reviews for all Trust Bank policies and committee charters.What you have 5+ years’ experience in financial services, preferably brokerage or banking5+ years’ experience in trust, custody, or retirement plan recordkeepingExpertise in preparing large plan Form 5500 filings as well as reconciling trust reporting Strong knowledge of ERISA, retirement plan regulations, and employee benefits rulesExcellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levelsProven product ownership, accountability, and attention to detailStrong client focus and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities independentlyHigh integrity, professionalism, and strong work ethicProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Working knowledge of recordkeeping, trading, and trust systemsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is requiredCandidates with a Series 24 are preferred.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
