Manager, Respiratory

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

The Manager Respiratory Therapy is responsible either personally or through delegation for providing effective leadership to manager the clinical and administrative direction of the respiratory therapy department. This manager provides the framework for planning, directing, coordinating, and providing patient care services within the unit and in relation to other departments. The manager possesses a high degree of knowledge, expertise, and proficiency to role model an exemplary standard of respiratory practice. He or she will serve to support the facilitys mission statement, to achieve the patient experience, and to foster a culture that focuses on assessing and improving performance.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited school of respiratory care.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Five (5) years of progressive experience in respiratory care.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current Georgia licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors or Masters degree in respiratory care preferred. One year management experience, preferred. Certification in area of clinical specialty preferred; ACLS and NPS preferred.
