Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. In this role, you will be responsible for addressing emerging energy efficiency and demand response policy hurdles. This position is responsible for all functions related to multi-year energy efficiency planning and benefit-cost modeling processes. This role will be integral in the development of savings goals in each jurisdiction and performing analysis in support of the development of those goals. This position also leads the Company's strategic thinking on benefit-cost analysis techniques and valuation of energy efficiency and demand side resources.

Essential Functions:

40% Thought Leadership

Works with internal and external stakeholders to develop multi-year energy efficiency savings goals and budgetsLiaises with critical external stakeholders on issues related to program performance data, cost-effectiveness testing, and portfolio planning.Serves as point of contact with senior level internal Company staff on benefit-cost modeling, as the SME on benefit valuation techniques for all demand-side resources.Oversees the production of the Avoided Energy Supply Cost (AESC) study on a triennial basis.Participates in "thought exercises" and performs relevant analysis to inform the long-term evolution of the energy efficiency and demand response programsCollaborates with other supervisors and managers as well as other Program Administrators regarding energy efficiency and demand reduction strategy as it is impacted by federal and state energy policy, new programs and technology, and customer expectations.Assists with the establishment of high-level goals, policies, programs and performance objectives.

40% Planning and Reporting

Manages the overall regulatory process, including the development of Term Reports, Compliance Filings, and Three-Year Plans in support of the Company’s energy efficiency programs in MassachusettsResponds to regulatory interrogatories pertaining to program planning, goal development, budgets, cost-effectiveness screening, as well as the application of evaluation results.Collaborates with other supervisors and managers, as well as other Program Administrators, regarding regulatory issuesOversees team that maintains the Benefit-Cost models for both gas and electric programsManages the process used to develop and update energy efficiency savings estimates as well as economic and market variables used in the cost-effectiveness models.Understands the entire breadth of the Energy Efficiency business, identifying issues and opportunities and working with the Accounting, Budgeting and Regulatory groups to assess the impact these issues might have on Company operations. Oversees and coordinates internal reporting and forecasting exercises to ensure that there is clarity throughout the organization on how performance is trending to goal and where interventions may be required.

20% Team Management

Coaches, develops and assesses staff, working to develop relevant technical and behavioral skills as required.Coordinates staff responsibilities and workloads to ensure balance among staff, efficiency in operations, and individual job satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill: 

Requires extensive knowledge of the electric and gas industry as it relates to energy efficiency to aid in identifying obstacles and opportunitiesRequires knowledge and understanding of Energy Efficiency-related regulatory processes and legislative guidelines, including the regulatory filing process. Requires extensive knowledge and skills in performing cost-effectiveness analyses, as well as in the evaluation and assessment of programs and projects. Requires general familiarity with energy efficiency technologies and their application in all customer sectors.Exceptional written and oral communication skills. 

Education:                          

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics or related discipline or equivalent experience.  Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience:                         Ten (10) plus years related experience including demonstrated experience working effectively and collaborating with a wide range of internal and external customers.

$148,520.00-$165,020.00
