As the Manager, R&D Engineering, you will provide technical guidance and direction to a team of R&D Engineers and navigate Medical Device Design Controls from Design Verification/Validation to Manufacturing Implementation.

You will need to live within commuting distance to our 6001 Oak Canyon STE 100, Irvine, CA office. You will need to be in the office 5 days a week.

What You Will do:  Lead, mentor, and develop talent by fostering growth, driving engagement, and building a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.Drive strategic initiatives and projects by planning, budgeting, and making independent decisions at the project, program, or portfolio level to achieve business goals.Solve complex technical, business, and personnel challenges using problem-solving and process improvement methodologies while guiding cross-functional teams.Communicate and influence effectively with customers, employees, partners, and senior leaders by conveying complex business, regulatory, and technical ideas clearly.Drive financial accountability by creating, managing, and tracking project budgets while contributing to business unit R&D projections, financial models, and overall strategy.Partner with senior leaders, customers, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to shape customer-focused strategies, execute Voice of Customer initiatives, and develop technical solutions that meet clinical and business needs.Lead teams and cross-functional partners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and design controls for new and existing products/processes.Oversee and approve technical documentation and deliverables at the program or project level, providing direction and accountability for quality and compliance.

What you need  Required Qualifications  Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline  Minimum 8 years of new product development experience in engineering, quality, regulatory, or manufacturing engineering within a highly regulated industry (automotive, pharma, aerospace), including prior leadership or people management experience Preferred Qualifications2 years of people management experienceStrong expertise in one or more technical/functional disciplines, with the ability to mentor and guide others.Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, providing feedback, and managing team performance.General knowledge of the healthcare market landscape and key competitors.Proven track record of executing talent and performance management strategies effectively.Ability to clearly communicate complex plans and technical information, while consistently delivering programs and business goals on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

$115,600 - $215,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 10%
