The Global Defect Manager will own and govern defect management across all markets for the DMB CMS team. This role ensures timely resolution of defects from release cycles and BAU operations, maintaining a prioritized global backlog and scheduling fixes into future releases. The position requires strong technical expertise for hands-on triage and validation, advanced root cause analysis, and collaboration with product, engineering, QA, and market teams. Beyond operational management, this leader will analyze defect trends, identify systemic issues, and drive strategies to reduce recurring defects. The role also delivers robust reporting and dashboards, enabling markets to plan releases effectively and prioritize fixes aligned with business objectives.
Duties
+ Govern and manage all defects globally across release and BAU streams.
+ Maintain and prioritize a global defect backlog in alignment with business and technical priorities.
+ Collaborate with product, engineering, QA, and market teams to schedule defect fixes into release plans.
+ Review root cause analysis (RCA) and validate technical fixes to ensure quality resolution.
+ Provide hands-on technical support for defect triage and resolution.
+ Establish and maintain defect reporting dashboards for stakeholders and governance bodies.
+ Monitor defect trends and identify systemic issues to drive long-term quality improvements.
+ Drive continuous improvement in defect management processes, tools, and communication.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in defect management, QA, or release management.
+ Strong understanding of SDLC, defect lifecycle, and root cause analysis techniques.
+ Technical proficiency to support hands-on troubleshooting and validation.
+ Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience managing defects across global technology projects.
+ Familiarity with CMS platforms and multi-market deployments.
+ Expertise in defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and reporting frameworks.
+ Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices.
+ ISTQB or equivalent QA/defect management certification.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $127,332.00 - $159,165.00 per year
