This position is responsible for maintaining existing and developing new relationships within the referring provider community to increase revenue and improve referral patterns into the system. The role includes establishing and managing a database of referring physicians, facilitating direct communication between community and Emory physicians, and developing business-to-business marketing and sales plans to target referring MDs and resolve any clinical or operational issues. The position works closely with the operations team to identify and remove barriers to growth and plays a pivotal role in leading strategic initiatives that enhance referral integration across the system.This role also includes developing data-driven quarterly sales plans and reports, tracking activities and results using a PRM tool, and ensuring timely resolution of open issues or escalations.Primary duties and responsibilities:
Strategic Outreach: 1. Outreach plan to strengthen referral networks and enhance engagement with both employed and affiliated physicians as well as other referral sources 2. Build and maintain strong relationships with community physicians and group practices to increase patient access and service line referrals. track trends in referral behavior, physician satisfaction, and market dynamics. Relationship Management:1. Develops and maintains strong relationships with key referral source and stakeholders. 2. Addresses client concerns and resolves issues in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.3. Analyzes market trends, customer needs and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities for each geographic market. Collaboration and Communication: 1. Collaboration with marketing and service line leaders to develop goals for strategic plans around promoting service lines.2. Effectively communicate and report out activities and results that are impacted by issue resolution etc. 3. Acts as an additional resource to department team members in troubleshooting and resolving conflicts for referring physicians. 4. Collaborates with Marketing Department and key service lines to align sales strategies with overall system goals. 5. Advises on impactful marketing collateral needed in the field. Team Leadership and Operations: 1. Lead and develop a high-performing division of the physician relations team. Ensure collaboration across clinical, operational, and strategic departments 2. Assists onboarding with new team members and performs ongoing sales training for team members. 3. Assists team members with outreach planning using PRM tools and referral databases to optimize productivity and efficiency. 4. Provides coaching and support to team members 5. Manage team dynamic and cross collaborationTravel: Some travel required between operating units
Work Type: Hybrid employee - splits time between working remotely and working in the office.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, business, healthcare, or related fields. Experience - 7 years minimum experience with at least 5 years in a management position Knowledge, skills, and abilities (required): Deep understanding of healthcare market dynamics, physician alignment models, and strategic partnerships.
