Position Summary:This is an exceptionally outstanding opportunity to lead and deliver world-class projects in a company committed to making the world a better place! As the Project Manager, GBS Enablement, you will be at the forefront of our company-wide program office, guiding the growth of our shared services offerings. You will effectively manage transition, process improvement, and other change initiatives, ensuring flawless program delivery. This position includes coordinating program activities and tracking significant turning points while engaging with diverse collaborators to ensure smooth execution.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and carry out assigned projectsPrepare and maintain detailed project plans and define deliverablesEmploy fit-for-purpose methodologies for each projectResolve complex issues and manage critical path processesIdentify, handle, and bring up risks, issues, actions, and decisions, while determining mitigation strategiesInfluence key program collaborators to ensure successful program implementation across workstreams and business groupsFacilitate recurring program meetingsDocument and communicate project statuses and resultsGather project information and ensure clear communication of outcomesReview project deliverables to ensure timely completion of achievementsLead regular reporting cadences and ad-hoc reports, including leadership reports and presentationsEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in a business-related fieldProject Management/Sigma/Kaizen certification desirableProven experience in leading complex, global programs and project initiativesExperience in Finance operations (OTC, PTP, FA, Inventory) or Customer Service preferredGBS experience preferredSystems implementation experience is a plusKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:Proficiency in English (verbal and written)Robust project management skills (planning tools, defining deliverables, argument and baseline development)Demonstrated experience in successfully managing complex, multidimensional projectsAbility to work independently and collaboratively across teamsCapable of balancing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyExcellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills across all levels of the organizationProven track record of following through on commitmentsStrong planning, organizational, and time management skillsGreat teammate, able to work effectively with othersAbility to handle highly sensitive information with confidentialityThermo Fisher Scientific is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.
