Location/Division Specific Information

US-California- Pleasanton: Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Project Management Office GSD Operations, this role is a key enabler for the continued growth for the global GSD businesses, dPCR, and global GSD projects. Leading the way from the Pleasanton, CA site, you'll be part of the Technical Operations PMO leadership team implementing key business initiatives, managing critical projects, and lead a team of project managers to deliver new products to market and process improvements for the existing manufacturing infrastructure.

The Manager role is key influencer in technical operations across assays, consumables, reagents, and instruments. In this role you'll lead the Pleasanton Project Management Office (PMO). As part of the global Technical Operations leadership team, you will support global technical operations by running critical projects in addition to leading a team of project managers to implement key business initiatives, such as driving new product introductions (NPIs) to market and process improvements for the existing manufacturing infrastructure.

A day in the Life:Maintain the Pleasanton portfolio roadmap and ensure alignment with BU strategiesLead critical New-Product Introduction (NPI), sustaining, and productivity projectsFunctionally manage a team of project managers who lead NPI’s, sustaining, and productivity projectsAssign project manager resources to serve as operations representatives on core teams and who plan, and lead operations transfer activitiesTrack and report critical metrics on project and portfolio health, development plans and lead activities to improve project outcomesImplement proven methods for project management and standardization across the siteContinuously improve organizational project management capabilities through training and mentoringKeys to Success:EducationBachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, molecular biology, or equivalent.PPI training and/or PMP certification are highly desirable.

Experience10+ years of experience in Biotech or a related industry with a focus on project management and/or product development3+ years of experience managing direct reports preferredExperience leading new product introduction and productivity projects in an IVD or reagent, liquid handling and consumable manufacturing environment? Experienced in portfolio and stakeholder managementExperience with Continuous improvement

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $112,500.00–$168,750.00.
