This Manager will be directly responsible for the Technicians in the Metals Production area. This role will report to Engineering and be integrated into the Engineering Manufacturing Team. Key responsibilities will be to train develop and coach team of technicians. Develop and implement area standards that increase equipment uptime, reduce maintenance costs and increase the longevity of our equipment. This role will be a member of the Metals Engineering Leadership team to help drive lasting improvements to the area and help shape the future of Metals manufacturing.
How you'll make an impact:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of production support techniciansOversee daily technical support activities to ensure minimal downtime and maximum equipment efficiencyDevelop and implement preventive maintenance programs and troubleshooting protocolsCollaborate with engineering and production teams to support new equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvementsMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment uptime, response time, and technician productivityEnsure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standardsManage staffing, training, and development plans for the technician teamMaintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, and technical proceduresSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring equipment or process issues
What you'll need (Required):
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field6 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role and/or leading projects
