Manager, Product Transfer

Job Description

The Product Transfer team partners with Operations to achieve excellence in Product Transfers for our Joint Replacement GQO Division. This will include Sustaining Engineering and SICRs across our Implants, Instruments and Robotics portfolios to optimize our supply chain.

What you will do:

Develops technical solutions to complex technical changes where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factorsDevelop a support network of key divisional/corporate leaders, academic and supplier partners to enhance understanding of product manufacturing and qualityLead a culture of change innovation within the function by developing and implementing engineering forums and reviews for the engineering teamDevelop team skills matrix in line with product portfolio, identifying the necessary training and coaching for team members to ensure that technical and team-based skills are acquired, applied and maintained by team members Provide direction to the team in complex and multi project changes, remove obstacles, assign appropriate resources and interface with other functions to assist with issue resolutionSupport the role of technical mentor for engineers and global SICR teamResponsible for SICR, stakeholder and people management including the technical assessment of all assigned changes. Will successfully lead the team to deliver key programs or projects per associated quality, time and cost constraintsBe an effective partner across all functions within divisional and GQO organizations to deliver associated changes in line with SGB and cost pipelines. Participate and represent the function at required business forumsSupport and lead aspects of scaling dedicated SICR team in other GQO Franchises.Partner with HR in identifying, acquiring top talent while developing and retaining talent within the teamResponsible for the implementation, enforcement and compliance of all relevant quality, regulatory and safety standards

Minimum Requirements:

B.S in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline8 or more years of related manufacturing experience2 or more years of project manager experience

Preferred Skills:

Experience in an FDA regulated, or regulated industry 2 or more years of project manager experience2 or more years of supervisory experienceDemonstrated leadership, project management and engineering experience in a regulated environment Results driven with strong leadership skillsExperience of GD&T, process mapping, statistical methods and process/ product validations would prove beneficialAbility to multi-task across a large volume of active SICRs

Travel Percentage: 10%
