Your Role
We are seeking an obsessively detail-oriented and proactive Packaging Production & Color Specialist to join our team. You will be part of the VS Beauty Design and Development team, in a highly collaborative role that is focused on package design execution. This job is all about the details—requiring a self-managed individual who can establish best practices and work closely with both creative and technical teams. As the in-house expert on print, color, and production, you will transition package design intent from the design team into a production environment. This includes managing color targets and approvals, troubleshooting various print techniques, and ensuring flawless execution of packaging components. The ideal candidate will balance the technical execution of production with the aesthetic goals of the program, advocating for quality at every stage

Your Impact
• Lead the color matching process for colored components, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all packaging elements.
• Work closely with the design team, package engineers, and vendors to align on product targets and expectations.
• Oversee the color submission and approval process, managing timelines and deliverables efficiently.
• Host weekly reviews of vendor submissions in a lightbox with the design team to assess and approve color accuracy.
• Serve as the in-house expert on print, color, and production, troubleshooting various print techniques as needed.
• Transition package design intent from the design team into production, ensuring alignment with technical execution requirements.
• Collaborate with prototype houses and vendors to ensure proper calibration of color across all production stages.
• Maintain a calendar of print production, ensuring timely virtual and on-site approvals.
• Maintain and update the color target standards for launches in the packaging lab, ensuring all references are current and accurate.
• Serve as a key advocate for quality, addressing and solving production challenges with a proactive approach.
• Frequent travel required for onsite approvals, both domestic and international.
• Demonstrate excellent project management and calendar skills to maintain and track the team’s deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met efficiently.

Minimum Salary: $126,700.00Maximum Salary: $172,935.00
VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.
QualificationsIf the challenge of matching a color across injection-molded plastic in different resins, sprayed glass, printed cartons, clear labels, and gift sets gets you inspired and excited, this role is for you. You may be a packaging designer with extremely strong expertise in technical execution, or a developer who has built strong relationships with designers and knows how to support their vision. Either way, you thrive on solving complex packaging challenges and ensuring seamless execution from concept to production.
At least 5 years of experience in the printing industry, with a strong background in pressroom operations.
• Expertise in consumer packaged goods and fragrance packaging with a deep understanding of production processes.
• Exceptional eye for color and detail, ensuring precise color execution across all materials.
• Strong ability to balance technical execution with aesthetic objectives to meet brand and design standards.
• Fluent in print production techniques including foil stamping, varnishes, silk screening, four-color process, trapping, dot gain, print rotation, and troubleshooting print techniques.
• Experience with on-site press approvals, ensuring high-quality print production and color accuracy.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to identify even the smallest imperfections, ensuring flawless
• execution.
• Ability to be self-managed, taking ownership of projects and driving them forward independently while
• maintaining clear communication with the team.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Proactive problem solver with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to travel frequently for onsite approvals, both domestically and internationally.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage calendars and maintain deliverables for the
