This role offers you the opportunity to creatively innovate, work across diverse functions, and make impactful contributions toward our organization's goals. **Key Responsibilities:** **Product Innovation & Development:** + Lead the design and development of new products, taking concepts from bench to commercialization, while meeting cost, quality, and label claim requirements. + Evaluate and implement new ingredients, assess nutritional profiles, conduct product and packaging stability testing, and execute pilot plant trials. **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** + Act as a technical, regulatory, and quality expert, responding to inquiries from Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Regulatory, Quality, and other departments. + Influence decision-making as the RDI representative on cross-functional teams to drive timely project delivery within scope and budget. **Research & Problem Solving:** + Drive innovation by leading technical research, analyzing data, and interpreting results through all stages of experimentation. + Identify and execute opportunities for product/process improvement and cost savings. **Documentation & System Management:** + Manage ingredient and product specifications, including formula entry into the formula management system, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and regulatory compliance. + Design, organize, and maintain technical and regulatory records for easy access and secure storage. **Strategic Leadership:** + Partner with Brand and Global Category Teams to build and prioritize a robust product pipeline aligned with business objectives. + Stay ahead of industry trends in science, technology, and nutrition to ensure competitive advantage. + Share insights and solutions to help improve efficiency, effectiveness, and project impact. **Required Qualifications & Skills:** + **Education:** Advanced degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field preferred; bachelor's degree with extensive relevant experience considered. + **Experience:** 5+ years of product development experience, with a background in launching products preferred. Food and beverage industry experience (especially global) is a plus. + **Technical Expertise:** Strong competency in flavors, food ingredients, processing, packaging, nutrition, and stability testing. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
