What Payer Process Manager contributes to Cardinal Health
The Payer Process Manager leads teams focused on payer rules, policies, and accounts receivable operations. This role drives compliance, optimizes reimbursement, and supports revenue cycle performance across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Manage payer policies and rules.
Maintain systems, hotkeys, tools & references.
Proactively monitor for policies & rule changes.
Analyze KPIs, financial results & variances; trending & root cause.
Innovate to optimize systems & processes.
Collaborate with payers & internal partners to resolve discrepancies.
Manage State Medicaid policies and rules.
Manage, mentor and coach supervisors and other team members with focus on performance management and professional development.
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and implement process improvements.
Ensure performance and quality standards are met and initiative corrective actions as needed.
Develop and execute communication plan that includes regularly scheduled meetings and communication with all work sites (CHIP, ADSG).
Support the system transformation and act as an effective change agent. Contribute to future state process design, testing, SOP development, training and organizational change management initiatives and leads employees through change.
Build strong team relationships by understanding, helping and motivating teams.
Lead and/or assist in projects as needed.
Responsible for recruiting, hiring and training of qualified employees to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
Comply with laws and regulations as they pertain to services provided by the Company. This includes supporting and demonstrating compliance with the Company’s Compliance and HIPAA Plans.
Promptly report any information regarding a known or suspected violation of any applicable laws, regulations, standards or company policy.
Represent the culture and values of the Company to other groups, agencies and the general public, and ensure accuracy of public information materials.
As applicable, attend in-service, continuing education or seminar programs to stay current with industry and community trends.
Attend all required Compliance, HIPAA and other scheduled training.
Support and demonstrate the Company’s values.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
8+ years experience in related field preferred.
5% travel.

Anticipated salary range: $87,700 – $125,000 per year
