About the Role:
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a distributed team of Software Engineers in developing network automation platforms and systems. You will play a key role in developing the team, shaping its culture and technical vision while focusing on API-driven solutions, self-service tools, and intelligent automation. You will work closely with other Engineering leaders to communicate the vision, prioritize the team's roadmap, and achieve cross-functional objectives.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee development of integrated front-end and back-end systems for network management and orchestration
Create and maintain technical roadmaps, balancing strategic initiatives with near-term needs
Partner with network engineering teams to develop self-service tools and workflows
Drive API-first development and establish development standards for API design and implementation
Guide the team in modern software development practices and architectural decisions
Drive innovation in network automation and orchestration
Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and operational excellence.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
10+ years experience in software development with focus on network systems
5+ years leading software development teams
Modern programming languages (Python, Go, Rust, C++, etc.)
Strong background in API development and microservices architecture
Front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or similar)
Experience with network provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools.
Experience with cloud platforms and network orchestration tools
