About this opportunity...

The Manager, Merchant Operations position serves as a key interface between Merchants, Supply Chain, DC's and the IT group. Responsibilities of the position include managing special projects with cross functional impacts, performing business analysis activities, and working with key users in the continual improvements of business processes within the supply chain environment. Through analyzing data, he/she will perform validation activities to assess whether "new concepts/ideas" will/are providing the return necessary to warrant project investment. In addition, by following data patterns, the manager should be able to recommend potential areas of change that will ultimately improve company profitability. Individual will be required to act as a logistics subject matter expert and work effectively within the organization and guide vendors when questions arise.

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

What you will do and what you will learn...
Operate as subject matter expert for logistic systems and processesDevelop and maintain reporting established to measure project progress and effectiveness (Diversions, Pallet Planters Program, Co-Loads etc). Assess if new concepts/ideas and existing processes will provide the return necessary to warrant project investment through data and reporting analysisTroubleshooting merchant issues associated with the flow of merchandiseOperate as subject matter expert for logistic systems and processesDevelop and maintain reporting established to measure project progress and effectiveness (Diversions, Pallet Planters Program, Co-Loads etc). What you need to be successful...
5+ years in retail business systems (preferred automated process experience)A solid understanding of best practices in retail or consumer goodsExperience in executive level communication and facilitating meetings that effectively drive decisions or alignmentStrong analytical skills including experience executing analysis of complex dataStrong collaboration and influencing skillsMotivated by the desire to make a difference in the business, to work with a highly talented set of peers, and to work on interesting projectsOutstanding work ethic; displays a high sense of urgency to resolve issues quickly and efficientlyA high sense of responsibility to our customers, our users, our colleagues, and to the quality and timeliness of one's own workWillingness and flexibility to jump into the details to get the job doneAdvanced spreadsheet skills (excel/PowerPoint)2+ years of people management experienceBachelor's degree required
