Manager, Maintenance

Join Spectrum as a Maintenance Manager, where you’ll oversee plant maintenance and engineering, coordinate cross-department efforts and mentor staff. Your leadership will ensure system reliability, regulatory compliance and a seamless customer experience—making a lasting impact on our network’s performance. 


How You’ll Make an Impact

Direct all plant maintenance operations to uphold cable plant integrity and deliver consistent voice, video and data qualityOversee contract labor resources, ensuring adherence to scope of work and quality standardsProvide technical guidance to field locations and regional offices on technologies, operational standards and staff developmentServe as subject matter expert for Spectrum tools including Node Health Report, Node Slayer and CPE telemetrySupport and drive company-wide training initiatives for maintenance techniciansPrepare and monitor capital and operating budgets to control expenses and optimize cash flowEvaluate procedures and ensure compliance with FCC standards, inventory control and safety protocolsMaintain accurate records for system, regional, corporate and government requirementsDevelop and mentor frontline leadership teams to drive performance and engagement

Required Qualifications
Education

Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering or equivalentNCTI Advanced Technical Certification or SCTE Certification or equivalent

Experience

5+ years of system engineering experience2+ years of management experience

Skills

Advanced understanding of TCP/IP stack and abstraction layersKnowledge of Spectrum products, services, proofs of performance, construction practices and Headend operationsAbility to safely use weight-bearing equipment including gaffs, harnesses, ladders and bucket trucksSkill in making cable connections in tight spaces, measuring distances and splicing coaxial cableProficient with test equipment, computers, handheld communication devices and applicationsAble to carry, climb and operate extension ladders (approx. 32 ft high and 90 pounds)Effective at handling multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, maintaining confidentiality and solving problems under pressureDemonstrated leadership skillsUnderstanding of applicable local, state and federal regulations, OSHA rules, power distribution systems, analog transmission line theory, electronic theory, fiber optic theory, National Electric Code and National Electric Safety CodeKnowledge of HFC, advanced video and IP networksFamiliarity with capital and operating budget processes, Microsoft Office and FCC compliance reports
