SUMMARY:
Responsible for the efficient and effective operation of Accounts Receivable, supervising Accounts Receivable clerks and pursuing late payments. Process credit applications, perform collections, and maintain accurate customer information regarding A/R in the AS400 and/or excel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitoring the Accounts Receivable at branch locations and assisting in rectifying any problem areas. Approve or deny credit applications and customer terms. Also give credit references on requested customers. Assist in preparing legal cases with the corporate attorney and represent the company at bankruptcy hearings. Prepare documentation for the hearings. Approve payment plans and settlements. Supervise Accounts Receivable clerks; train, motivate, and discipline the staff. Enforce the corporate credit policy and assure the company is following state and federal regulations regarding A/R. Perform other duties as requested by management.
Educational Requirements:
High Scholl Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Two years of secondary education in an appropriate discipline is preferred.
Experience Required:
Two years of intensive collection work.
One year of supervisory experience.
Two to four years Accounts Receivable experience.
Skills:
Strong analytical skills
Ability to multitask
Working knowledge of AS400, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong 10-key skills
