How will you make an impact?

The Manager of the Lab Application Scientist Team (Lexington) will have responsibility for delivering outstanding pre-sales support to our North America customer base through active leadership of all product demonstration activities for the product lines and markets supported by the Lexington Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry product demonstration laboratory. The individual will act as an integral part of the Application Support Management Team to optimize best use of resources and knowledge. The successful candidate will build a diverse team of specialists and empower them to address customer problems creatively. The ability to connect successfully with a wide variety of groups both across Thermo Fisher Scientific (sales, vertical marketing, product support, etc.) and within the larger team of sales support managers is key to success in this role.

What will you do?

Own responsibility for all activities (pre- and exceptional post-sales) in AMER for products and applications supported by the Lexington demo lab in alignment with internal stake holdersManage the demo lab in compliance with local Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulationsEnsure compliance with all Thermo Fisher Scientific internal and external processes and valuesBuild a multifaceted, flexible team environment that allows for creative problem solving.Actively work with the team to build relationships within the company and to continually improve skills of team members for future career growth.Identify individual or group training needs and coordinate appropriate and timely training.Communicate market intelligence and voice of customer (VOC) information obtained during customer interactions to Director Applications AMER, Vertical Marketing, and Product ManagementManage timely execution and report on all aspects of team activitiesTrack and report team relevant key performance indicators.Monitor team operating expenses to ensure compliance with established budgets.Ability to travel a minimum of 25% will be required.Demonstrate Role Model Leader characteristicsEmbody the 4-I valuesDelight customersCommunicate openly and honestlyFocus on growthChampion employee development

How will you get here?

Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or higher degreeMinimum of 5 years of related work experience Demonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values - Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Proven record of analytical and problem-solving skills must be demonstrated.Strong experience in hyphenated mass spectrometry techniques.Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $103,100.00–$154,700.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
