Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Manager, Investor Services to join our team.
In conjunction with the Director of Investor Relations, the Manager, Investor Services will oversee the Investor Services team in support of Public Storage’s broader external and internal stakeholder efforts. The role will work with key constituents in administering these efforts, which include supporting retail shareholders and limited partners, collaborating on company filings, communications and distributions, assisting capital markets issuance and redemptions, and additional responsibilities that will afford broad exposure to Public Storage’s best-in-class operations.
Responsibilities
Oversee and support the Investor Services team in administering Public Storage’s internal and external stakeholder effortsCoordinate recurring and special communications (e.g. news releases) and oversee timely distribution to relevant stakeholdersCoordinate quarterly distributions and support security issuances/redemptions/exchanges (debt, preferred equity, common equity) with internal teams and external counterparties to ensure accuracy and seamless executionLead retail shareholder and limited partner inquiries (filings, ownership, transfers, tax bases, Forms 1099), ensuring service-level responsiveness and accurate guidanceLead shareholder and limited partnership administration, including dividend distributions, tax statement preparation, consent solicitation, and tender offersServe as a central point of contact between shareholders/limited partners and internal/external stakeholders; document roles, systems, and processes to ensure seamless handoffsPrepare non-financial components of annual reports, assist with annual proxy preparation, and coordinate the Annual Shareholder MeetingManage key external relationships, including the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), The Depository Trust Company, transfer agents, financial printer, and news release providerManage administrative aspects of Investor Services team, including contracts, invoices, and the Investor Relations websiteExecute recurring or special projects for internal parties, including the executive team, Board of Trustees, and other key constituentsEnsure operational procedures and controls are followed, escalate appropriately, and drive process improvements and automation to eliminate bottlenecksQualifications5+ years of experience in an investor services (as described above), shareholder services, and/or finance/accounting related function5+ years working with shareholders and limited partners3+ years of management experience with demonstrated success in a leadership role (coaching, developing, performance management)Excellent Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office skills with a focus on Excel, Word, and PowerPointFamiliarity with company filings, compliance, and annual reporting requirementsExperience collaborating with or managing vendors and market infrastructures (NYSE, DTC, transfer agents, financial printers, newswire providers)Excellent interpersonal, verbal, editing, and written communication skillsExecutive presence with the ability to influence, build trust, and partner effectively from staff to executivesProven ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information, issues, and escalationsStrong work ethic and ability to support multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlinesKnowledge of shareholder / limited partner tax-related documentation (e.g., Forms 1099, K-1s) a plusAdditional InformationCompensation
Base Pay Range: $118,000 - $138,000
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of our total awards approach to compensation which is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses or incentives.
