We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.

This position is onsite in Fort Worth, TX.

Instrumentation Labs

The instrumentation labs deliver decision-quality measurements to support various programs. This team collaborates across a wide range of product life cycles to ensure our aircraft operate safely and efficiently. You will work with established platforms like the V-22, certification testing for aircraft such as the 525, new programs like the MV-75, emerging technologies like SPRINT, and groundbreaking development projects shaping the future of aviation. With a balanced blend of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering expertise, we determine the measurement needs of these programs and implement effective solutions to meet them.

What you’ll be doing as a Manager, Instrumentation Labs

Oversee a team of 20 non-exempt engineering technicians, ensuring alignment with program and engineering requirements.Collaborate with engineers and programs to understand measurement needs and ensure accurate execution.Manage staffing, budgeting, estimating, and risk assessment while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.Foster a safe work environment and ensure compliance within the team.Identify opportunities to improve laboratory operations.Work with Capital to acquire new equipment for enhanced capabilities.

Skills You Bring To this Role

Experience in flight testing or component testing of aircraft and/or related testing systems.

Must understand Instrumentation Lab processes including strain gages, sensors, signal conditioning, data acquisition, controls systems, and/or calibration.

Ability to work well with others in a leadership role achieving successful outcomes for our programs

Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities and decision-making skills

Experience with budgeting, estimating, capital projects, and inventory

What you need to be successful

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.

Minimum of 10 years experience in instrumentation or engineering testing required, preferably within the aerospace industry.
