Job Description for Manager, End User Computing (EUC).
Northern Trust is seeking a well-versed manager with experience in supporting Windows and OSX technologies to join the End User Computing area within the Digital Workplace Technology organization. The ideal candidate is an expert IT end user computing who has proven experience of managing a team of professionals, subject matter experts along with designing, developing, integrating/implementing, and maintaining standards for an end user delivery model with a thorough understanding of the supporting technologies.
As a Manager within the Digital Workplace Technology team, this role contributes to the EUC Engineering / Operations team management along with development and enhancement on digital workspace solutions that enable our on-site and remote workforce not just for the Windows and Apple platform, but for end user computing as a whole.
Responsibilities
Oversite of End User Computing team which includes the management of:Laptops and Desktops Mobile Devices (android and iPhone) JAMF for MACEnsure security controls are effectively managedEnsure patching and vulnerability compliance Knowledge & experience in modern endpoint managementIntune and SCCM knowledge Ensure effective oversite of Certification and Packaging of applications Imaging experienceExperience leading a team of engineers and Managed Services operations to work collaboratively to support 31,000 end usersStrong leadership and team-building skills, including the ability to interact with executive leadership teamStrong communication skills with global & diverse audiences - Strong critical thinking and analytical skillsM365, W365, and Citrix knowledge Architecting, deploying and supporting Microsoft Modern Management platforms which includes Intune, SCCM, Cloud Management Gateway, Windows Autopilot, Co-management, MEM and Azure Portal as well as MDM for the MAC/OSX infrastructure integrated between Jamf and Microsoft Intune. Ensures the highest level of security and availability of associated systems, applications and infrastructure through alignment to STIG/CIS guidelines, maintaining practices/processes for monitoring, alerting and remediating noncompliance and/or vulnerabilities, identifying trends and assess opportunities to improve capabilities, processes, and execution in order to meet changing needs and requirements of a vigorous enterprise support model. Manage evaluation, installation, integration, testing and performance monitoring of the infrastructure and related software products in support of a multi-client, multi-vendor systems software/hardware environment (i.e., laptops, desktops, iMacs, MacBook's, Mac Pro laptops)Provides technical analysis of requirements necessary for the protection of all information processed, stored, or transmitted by systems. Apply expertise across all aspects of the end user service design framework to deliver a superior experience that is scalable, sustainable, supportable and aligned to future state Ensure compliance for controls, standards, device posture, MFA, detailed infrastructure solutions/repeatable patterns (build-kits) for non-production and production environments, transitioning knowledge to infrastructure operations, and other various levels of global technical support. May act as Project Leader and/or serve as an expert resource/point of contact within the group for partner, committee or management interactionsRequired Skills/Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in relevant field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
