Manager, HR Business Partner
**Purpose and Scope:** Responsible for aligning HR strategy with business objectives while serving as a strategic partner to leaders and employees across the organization. Operates as a strategic influencer to deliver people-centered solutions that support organizational effectiveness and business results. This role leads and manages the HRG (Human Resources Generalist) team, which provides enterprise-wide, Employee Relations–focused support and delivers core HR services in partnership with HR Business Partners (HRBPs). The HR Manager II ensures consistent, high quality HR execution across the company while driving organizational design, talent management, employee engagement, performance management, DE&I, and human capital analytics to advance HR best practices, programs, and tools. **Location:** Remote **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** **Strategic HR Partnership** + Proactively collaborate with business leadership and employees to develop and execute HR strategies that support business priorities and improve organizational effectiveness. + Partner with leaders at multiple levels to design and implement talent strategies that attract, develop, and retain a diverse workforce, including succession planning and leadership development initiatives. + Ensure HR business strategies are supported by appropriate HR Centers of Excellence and shared services. + Leverage data and analytics to identify trends and deliver insights that improve performance, retention, and the employee experience. + Integrate DE&I practices into organizational strategies and HR programs within client groups. **HRG Team Leadership and Enterprise HR Support** + Provide direct leadership, coaching, and performance management for the HRG team, ensuring clarity of roles, priorities, and expectations. + Oversee the delivery of Employee Relations support across the company, including investigations, issue resolution, policy interpretation, corrective action guidance, and risk mitigation. + Ensure HRGs deliver consistent, high-quality core HR support (e.g., employee lifecycle processes, policy application, case management) in alignment with company standards. + Partner closely with HR Business Partners to support core HR work, allowing HRBPs to focus on strategic consulting while ensuring strong operational execution. + Establish workflows, escalation paths, and service models that promote efficiency, consistency, and positive employee and manager experiences. + Act as an escalation point for complex ER matters, ensuring appropriate judgment, documentation, and alignment with legal and compliance requirements. **Organizational and Project Leadership** + Lead and participate in HR projects and initiatives, including organizational transformation, talent programs, employee engagement surveys, and DE&I initiatives. + Drive innovation, automation, and continuous improvement in HR processes, with a strong focus on user experience. + Collaborate with HRBPs and HR colleagues across the organization to share best practices, resolve issues, and provide thought leadership on HR matters. **Education and Experience** + Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Psychology, or a related field. + 6+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least three years in an HR Business Partner or equivalent strategic HR role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + Experience supporting a multi-unit or enterprise organization. + Demonstrated experience leading or managing HR teams, preferably including Employee Relations or HR Generalist functions. + SPHR certification preferred. **Core Knowledge and Skills** + Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategy with organizational goals. + Deep knowledge of employment law, Employee Relations practices, HR policies, compliance, and risk management. + Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop HR professionals. + Strategic and operational HR expertise, with the ability to balance enterprise consistency and business needs. + Excellent verbal, written, presentation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. + Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. + Ability to influence leaders and build trust at all levels of the organization. + Highly organized, resilient, and effective in a fast paced, evolving environment. + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. **Supervisory Responsibilities** + Directly supervises the HRG team, including responsibility for performance management, coaching, development, and workload prioritization. **Salary Range:** $112,200 - $140,200 annually, depending on experience and geographic location, plus eligibility for an annual bonus, subject to plan terms.
