WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Governance & Control to drive global standards and excellence in financial governance. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of financial accounting, GL reconciliation, and operational risk management. You will lead quality assurance and governance activities with a data-driven and risk-based approach, overseeing global GL reconciliation processes, managing internal and external audit processes (including SOX compliance), and challenging the control environment to identify areas for improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and ensure seamless execution.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Manage and oversee all internal and external audit/SOX processes, including preparation, coordination with auditors, and implementation of corrective actionsTake a data-driven, risk-based approach to inform quality assurance and governance decisions, drawing insights from operational metrics and risk indicatorsIdentify, assess, and mitigate operational risks, and develop strategies to improve risk monitoring and governanceDevelop and maintain key performance indicators and risk monitoring metrics to measure the effectiveness of governance and auditing activitiesInnovate and improve governance and auditing activities, including the development of new risk monitoring tools and methodologiesCollaborate with stakeholders to design and implement process improvements, leveraging data and analytics to inform decision-makingServe as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and oversight on operational risk, audit, and governance mattersStay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to drive continuous improvement in governance, risk management, and audit activities

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

 Must have:

Strong knowledge of operational processes, including GL reconciliation and control, as well as financial systems and reporting processesSolid understanding of regulatory and compliance rules, including Internal Audit reviews, SOX, and other relevant financial regulationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive issues to conclusion and navigate complex data sets to inform decision-makingA curious and inquiring mindset, with a passion for leveraging data analytics and insights to inform risk management and process improvementA proactive and adaptable approach, with a strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple demands and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and a strong financial control mindset with a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and driving business value.

Nice-to-have: 

Knowledge in automation tools and technologies, such as robotic process automation (RPA), Python or VBAKnowledge in data science and statistical modeling techniques to drive analytics and insights in operational risk managementBachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, and/or relevant experience in financial control, auditing, or a related field
