Manager, GME Rural Programs

The Manager, GME Rural Programs is responsible for overseeing the strategic development and operational effectiveness of all rural residency and fellowship programs within the institution. The Manager ensures compliance with ACGME requirements, fosters a high quality educational environment, and collaborates with program directors, core faculty, and executive leadership to advance the institution’s academic mission. + Provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight for all GME rural programs. + Develops and implements institutional policies, guidelines, and procedures related to GME rural programs, resident well-being, supervision, and evaluation. + Monitors and supports resident recruitment, onboarding, evaluation, promotion and remediation processes. + Manages GME rural programs specialists and budgets. Holds weekly check-in meetings with the specialists. + Functions as a resource and liaison between the core faculty, residents/fellows, and program directors and various service line leaders and other administrative departments as required. Holds weekly check-in meetings with program directors. + Responsible for all aspects of the daily operation and strategic direction of the rural programs. + Assists with the creation, development, implementation, scheduling and evaluation of education programs and projects to support network goals and objectives. + Grant oversight and budgeting for rural residency programs. This includes quarterly meetings with grant department and check-ins as needed. Completing and coordinating monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for grants. + Liaison between residency programs and the organizations who have awarded the grants. + Quarterly program updates with rural hospital presidents. PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Sitting up to 4 hours daily; 2 hours at a time. Walking up to 1 hour daily. Uses hands and fingers frequently. Rarely lifts or carries up to 10 pounds. Occasionally stoops, bends, squats, crouches or kneels. Rarely reaches above shoulder level. Hearing, as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing, as it relates to general vision. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Required experience in graduate medical education. Please complete your application using your full legal name and current home address.
