The Manager, IT Product Management is a key member of the Offer Order (O2) product team, responsible for managing and enhancing a core internal platform that supports segmentation, preferences, eligibility, and targeted client experiences across Schwab’s business lines. Reporting to an O2 Group Product Manager, this role partners closely with technology and business stakeholders to ensure platform stability, prioritize work effectively, and deliver high‑quality, data‑driven product solutions.

 

This role blends product ownership, Agile delivery, stakeholder partnership, and production support, with a strong focus on execution, communication, and continuous improvement.

 

What you'll do:

Partner with business and technology partners to intake production issues and bugs, enhancement requests, document business impact, and define and track detailed requirementsWork with product and engineering leadership on objectives, quarterly roadmaps, and proposalsManage platform backlog, aligning on priority, and communicating progress updates to stakeholdersHave a high degree of attention to detail, strong organization skills, ability to adapt to changing business conditions, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects with urgency, meeting required deadlinesLead requirements writing using iterative Agile methodology in JIRA, defining acceptance criteria, partnering with technology, attending scrum meetings, and implementing technical enhancementsCollaborate with technology partners on backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release planningPerform technical certifications during internal and external production releases, outside of regular business hoursSupport business team day-to-day platform questions and assist in production support triage, acting as a liaison with technology partners, and escalate as neededWork with business partners to understand business processes, process flows, business needs and analyze pain points, identify viable solutions, and implement enhancementsIndependently manage and coordinate project tasks, lead analysis interviews, own facilitation of discussions, and communications with impacted areas regarding projectInvestigate and validate reported issues to assess risk and exposure and provide input on prioritizationImplement strategic communication plans and ensure effective internal and external messaging across multiple platformsIdentify and define problems, extracting key information from data, and developing workable solutions for the problems identified to test and resolve What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

 

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in digital product management.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience producing storytelling decks for socialization and buy-ins.Able to communicate at the strategic level (strategy/vision) as well as tactical level (status updates).Skilled in working with a cross-functional team, balancing trade-offs and re-prioritization as needed.Strong people skills, emotional maturity, and sound decision-making capabilities.Experience with project planning, dependencies management, and business analysis. Able to define use cases and business logic within user stories.Experience with any of the following tools and systems; Confluence, SharePoint, SQL, JIRA, Adobe suiteAdvanced usage of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and VisioBachelor's degree preferred. Post graduate degree is a plus.
