ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manager of Financial Reporting who posses both public accounting and in-house experience. The role of the Financial Reporting Manager is focused on internal financial reporting, technical accounting, equity related accounting matters and ad hoc projects (such as system implementation). This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing and analyzing the company's consolidated financial statements and footnotes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and supporting any external financial reporting requirements
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Prepares and assists in the review of the company's consolidated financial statements and footnotes, including ensuring compliance with US GAAP and any other applicable regulations.Assists with preparation and review of other materials that include financial statement data.Ensures creation of auditable support with clear documentation.Manages financial reporting to key stakeholders, including regulatory agencies.Participates in the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries. Prepares and reviews accounting, reconciliations and reporting of certain equity, debt, investment, and asset activities, as well as non-routine transactions.Possess expertise in reporting requirements in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.Monitors and researches FASB and SEC activities to identify potential rule changes that may impact the company and prepares memos summarizing impact to the company.Prepares technical accounting memos.Documents and updates the company’s key accounting policies.Establishes effective working relationships with key stakeholders within the organization, including Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Human Resources, and Internal/External Audit.Identifies and implements opportunities to promote streamlined processes, financial systems, operational efficiencies, and enhanced internal controls.Leads process improvement of reporting deliverables across the organization and evolves the function through reporting standardization and best practices.WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

BA/BS degree in Accounting or related fieldCPA license preferred7+ years of relevant experience, with a mix of public accounting and financial reporting experience in a large publicly traded organizationIndustry experience in retail and/or consumer products, and international experience a plusThe pay range for this position is $155,000-$185,000/yr USD.
