This is an opportunity within the Naval Systems & Sustainment (NSS) Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) under the Naval Power (NP) SBU as a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager reporting to the NSS Senior FP&A Manager. This role is a valued business partner within the NSS SSBU and interacts with the NSS program offices, SSBU and SBU leadership teams to achieve business objectives. NSS is seeking an FP&A Manager to support a growing portfolio that will offer exposure to financial planning and forecasting for multiple contract types and colors of money, including capital, bidding & selling, and IRAD. The FP&A Manager will support the NSS Sr. FP&A Manager by facilitating weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements including the following: Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), Investment Planning, and Monthly Forecast Reviews. The FP&A Manager will be a key contributor to the monthly forecast, risk and opportunity register development, and overall AOP/LRP development. The FP&A Manager will serve as the primary point of contact and financial planner for a suite of naval programs. This position will allow for visibility key leadership and team members. This role offers a dynamic and challenging FP&A experience in a growing RTX franchise product line. Additionally, this role will lead a team of one to two finance professionals. The ideal candidate for this role should be a strategic business thinker, team orientated, proactive, self driven, possess excellent technical knowledge of financial planning processes, good problem-solving abilities, solid communication skills and experienced at messaging through all levels. _This position is currently designated as Onsite. However, the successful candidate will be required to work onsite from one of the following locations, Portsmouth RI, Andover MA, Woburn MA, McKinney TX, or Tucson AZ._ **What You Will Do** + Development and management of accurate and timely analysis of financial performance, key metrics (Bookings, Sales, Profit, Cash), elements of cost, and provide early identification and communication of issues impacting financial performance. + Development and management of various NSS FP&A efforts: Balance Sheet, SRO, Forecasting, Investment activities including Capital projects, NBI spending, OH Spending, CFRs, Cash analysis, and various ad hoc requests. + Drive efficiencies through process improvement and grow FP&A best practices. + Influence and collaborate with matrixed teams, functional peers, and leadership. + Analyze & make recommendations to leadership regarding AOP/LRP metrics. + Present financial information and analysis to PMO and SSBU leadership. + Work closely with all stake holders (PMs, Business Managers, Analysts, Functional Leads) to validate & analyze Risks & Opportunities (R&Os) to the plan. + Develop, utilize, and disseminate process improvement and tool improvement opportunities to enhance problem-solving opportunities for the entire finance team. + Provide ad-hoc assistance, analysis, and reporting as requested by management and team. + Manage 1-2 analysts including coaching, training, and development. + Data integrity is key within this role. **Qualifications You Must Have** + Typically requires: A bachelor’s degree in business, Math, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of related finance experience. + Financial planning and analysis experience. + Experience using applicable business and accounting systems, including SAP/APEX/PRISM/BW/Rplan or a similar system. + Excellent computer skills including a high level of proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). + U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements. **Qualifications We Prefer** + Knowledge of Financial Planning and Analysis concepts and processes including bookings, sales, earnings, and cash flow forecasting. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as experience presenting to leadership and peers. + Ability to meet critical deadlines, self-manage and prioritize workload. + Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment across different functions and stakeholders while leading teams to results. + Advanced Excel Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and tools, including Power Query for data extraction, transformation, complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques. + Ability to develop and implement solutions and process improvements. + Experience with APEX/SAP, Business Warehouse and/or a similar system + Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area. + Typically has broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization. **Additional Information** + This position is grade M4, Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis. + Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
