Manager, Financial Data Science Engineer 

 

Manager, Financial Data Science Engineer for St. Louis, MO to lead AI innovation to develop state-of-the-art financial predictive models via machine learning, generative AI, & other Large Language Models (LLMs). Lead AI development with prompt engineering, database querying, & retrieval augmented generation (RAG) methods. Design, build, & develop data models, reports & dashboards. Lead end-to-end development activities for predictive financial solutions that source S/4Hana data models, & design solutions connecting planning tools with predictive models. Drive AI automation across the enterprise. Partner with global AI community to promote & design use-cases using Bayer LLM. Requires Bachelor’s in C.S., Computer Engineering or closely related field & 5 yrs progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience in building advanced data models using R, Python, and SQL, focusing on process mining, anomaly detection, and model explainability; developing cloud-based AI/Data Science solutions with deep learning techniques like regression, clustering, and process mining, to integrate AI/ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker, GCP BigQuery, and Vector DB; designing scalable machine learning algorithms and statistical models, including Density-Based, Distribution-Based, K-Means, and Hierarchical clustering; ensuring model reproducibility, interpretability, and governance using MLOps frameworks SageMaker Model Registry and/or MLFlow; architecting secure API frameworks for enterprise data access and orchestration across SAP, Oracle, and Tableau; developing predictive analytics tools using regression/clustering/deep learning/time-series forecasting for real-time decision-making and risk management; leading cross-functional Data Science teams, fostering collaboration between analysts, developers, and scientists; driving AI/ML framework development with scalable architectures for enterprise decision intelligence; and translating complex business challenges into AI/ML-driven technical solutions aligned with strategic goals. Telecommuting permitted from home office location within reasonable commuting distance of St. Louis, MO 2 days per week. Up to 10% national & int’l travel required. Salary Range:  Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $171,000.00 to $208,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. The offered salary may vary within this range based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
