JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of finance, including financial planning & analysis, financial control,  Activities include financial transaction, financial modeling, financial analysis, variance analysis, budget, forecast, and compiling/maintaining ad-hoc financial information.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Determine the key drivers of variances versus last year resultsMake recommendations to managementProvide specific analysis as to the key drivers of expenses and the key drivers as to variances to last year and to planIdentify opportunities to control costs and reduce expensesQuantify the financial impact of key cost control initiativesMay participate in shrink committee, credit committee, and other initiativesPartner with operating leadership in Supply Chain and logisticsEnsure overall trends and the impacts of key initiatives are reflected accurately in the forecastWork with each department to ensure they understand the overall forecast and how the impact of the key initiatives they are responsible for are reflected in the forecastParticipate in the recruiting and training of finance associatesPlay a key role in the annual AOP processIndividual must champion and be the local expert in Sysco’s analytical toolboxAssist with cost monitoring, product equities, frequencies and other statistical data directly related to price management(2) Direct Reports

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics requiredMBA/CPA and preferred

Experience

At least 5 years financial analyst and/or accounting experience requiredPrior managerial experience preferredProfessional Communication skillsBuild relationship with Operating leaders in Supply Chain and Logistics

Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to read, write and speak EnglishMust be able to analyze data and draw logical conclusions and recommendations from the dataAbility to lead and direct clerical positionsProficient computer skills with emphasis on Word and Excel
