Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Daily Operations
Directly manage a team of field employees across one or more branch locations.
Oversee daily assignments, adjust schedules as needed, and ensure team coverage across the install pipeline.
Coach and develop team members in survey accuracy, safety standards, and inspection readiness.
Travel regularly to job sites to conduct spot checks, resolve issues, and mentor staff.
Report to upper management on pipeline health and risks.
Drive field team progress and assign priorities based on backlog and cycle times within the scope of their team and request other business priorities.
2. Quality & Safety Oversight
Monitor survey and inspection outcomes to ensure compliance with SOPs, NEC codes, and AHJ-specific requirements.
Lead retraining efforts in coordination with training teams for underperforming or newly hired staff.
Conduct site visits and support investigations on failed inspections or survey-related rework.
Ensure consistent use of safety equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
3. Workflow Integration & Escalation Management
Act as the primary point of contact between field functions to reduce handoff delays and rework.
Resolve field escalations, including missing data, failed inspections, or site access issues, in coordination with other departments.
Support continuous improvement efforts to streamline handoffs between survey, install, and inspection phases.
4. Data Review & Technical Verification
Review Foreman Installation Checklists (FICs) and site survey data to ensure technical accuracy and job readiness.
Submit feedback to field teams on recurring quality issues, unsafe practices, or incomplete documentation.
Assist in resolving rejected project data or documentation-related go-backs.
5. Reporting & Metrics
Track and report on key performance indicators including survey accuracy, inspection pass rates, rework volumes, and team productivity.
Contribute to district performance reviews by providing insights into field operations trends and staffing needs.
Collaborate with senior leadership on headcount planning, tool management, and vehicle needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and field experience.
2-3+ years of field operations, inspections, or construction management experience.
Minimum 1 year of leadership or team coordination experience.
Familiarity with photovoltaic system design, code compliance, and residential installation practices.
Experience with Salesforce, GoogleSuite, and/or other scheduling and operations tools.
Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and navigating residential rooftops as needed.
OSHA 10/30 preferred.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check to travel 30% to field locations within the assigned region.

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
