**JOB SUMMARY**
Marriott International Malaysia is seeking a dynamic Field Marketing Manager to drive above-property marketing across Malaysia. This role is responsible for translating brand, loyalty, F&B, and destination strategies into regional activations to drive awareness, incremental revenue, and guest engagement. You will consult with property marketing teams, ensure compliance with brand guidelines, and execute campaigns that align with Marriott’s global objectives.
You’ll work closely with hotel marketing teams (including new opening properties) to support their local marketing plans, facilitate campaign roll-outs, and promote best practices. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with brand, loyalty, digital, communications, and regional marketing teams to ensure integrated execution and consistency.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
**Education & Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, Hospitality, or related discipline.
+ At least 4–6 years of marketing experience, ideally with some exposure in above-property, cluster or regional marketing (especially in hospitality, travel, lifestyle or consumer sectors).
+ Proven experience in campaign planning, execution, vendor / agency management, event marketing, partnerships, and media.
+ Solid understanding of Malaysian media, digital ecosystem, consumer behavior, and marketing channels.

**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
**Area / Above-Property Support**
+ Co-develop and manage implementation of above-property marketing initiatives (brand, loyalty, MICE, F&B, destination) for Malaysia, aligned with global/regional strategy.
+ Lead event activations and experiential campaigns: from concept development to delivery — including venue sourcing, supplier & partner liaison, run sheets, invitations/RSVPs, logistics, on-site supervision.
+ Identify, negotiate, and activate strategic partnerships with third parties (brands, agencies, tourism boards, local entities) to amplify campaign reach.
+ Work on destination marketing storytelling: identify unique angles and craft narratives that position Malaysian locations as attractive drawcards.
+ Prepare marketing briefs, project plans, and liaise with external agencies (creative, media, PR) for campaign execution.
+ Provide consultative input to hotels on photography, videography, direction, and media assets to ensure brand consistency.
+ Source and manage local influencer and media collaborations to support above-property campaigns.
+ Support negotiation of area/cluster media placements with key publications and agencies.
+ Own media and influencer relationships in Malaysia, monitor performance, and produce post-activity reports and analysis.
+ Lead marketing support for pre-opening hotels: build launch plans, local PR, media engagements, and promotional campaigns.
+ Research consumer, market, and competitor trends; generate actionable insights and apply learnings in campaign optimization.
+ Ensure hotels participate in (or comply with) relevant brand / loyalty / above-property initiatives.
**Hotel / Property Support**
+ Consult with property marketing teams to localize and adapt above-property campaigns into property-level plans (e.g. seasonal promotions, F&B, packages).
+ Recommend marketing budget allocations and spend priorities (in liaison with Director).
+ Identify cluster-level or property-level PR stories to boost media coverage and awareness of individual hotels.
+ Support cluster / international media famil (familiarization) trips for press, influencers — logistics, liaison, content.
+ Maintain and build a local/international media database to enable hotel press outreach.
+ Advise and assist hotel teams on content, social media, photography, and video for local campaigns.
+ Provide marketing support in F&B, weddings/MICE, restaurant promotions, dining packages, local events.
+ Present and benchmark restaurant / F&B marketing strategy and performance.
+ Conduct hotel performance reviews (marketing activation, campaign success) and present findings with recommendations.
+ Drive activation of partnerships/offers and ensure pull-through of brand and loyalty campaigns at property level.
+ Collaborate with Director to identify in-market partners for property-level marketing tie-ins.
+ Plan and support locally relevant promotions and campaigns to drive footfall, awareness, and incremental revenue for hotel services (e.g. spa, dining, local offers).
+ Monthly tracking, monitoring, evaluation of partnership campaigns; perform profit & loss analysis on executed campaigns.
+ Ensure hotel activation of Marriott Bonvoy Moments and other brand/loyalty programs.
+ Support property teams to increase Marriott Bonvoy enrollees and engagement through on-site marketing.
+ Conduct brand immersion / training sessions for hotel marketing & operations teams.
+ Schedule and lead marketing onboarding / orientation for hotel teams, especially new or transferred staff.
