Manager, Engineering

DENSO is looking for an Engineering Manager in the Maryville, TN facility. This individual will be responsible Manufacturing Competitiveness Process Engineering (MCPE) team. MCPE team is mainly involved in Project Management of small to large Automation projects for manufacturing processes.

The position will require some travel and there's future potential job rotation and/or additional team(s) to manage. 

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee a team of Engineers leading in various Process automation projects throughout Sub-south Region, and possibly North America. Collaborates with senior management to develop goals, objectives, and measures for assigned area considering overall department, division and organization strategy. Responsible, along with senior management, for the development of short-and long-term plans for assigned area such as developing future vision for engineering and technical groups, including expansion plans and infrastructure changes. Develops and monitors the budget for assigned area. Provides input into staffing proposals. Performs Human Resources activities such as hiring, firing, discipline, ensuring training of staff and completing performance evaluations. Communicates and implements change management initiatives. Mentors, coaches and leads subordinates by developing performance expectations, assesses individual training needs and planning for goal attainment. Manages operational and personnel activities of the assigned area within the department. Analyzes workflow and provides input for process changes.  Maintains close contact with relating team members to provide current information on project progress. Maintains relationships and directly interacts with internal customers, suppliers and affiliates as needed towards successful completion of projects.  Makes routine decisions that may affect the area or department. Seeks advice from and provides input to senior management in addressing higher level and non-routine issues. Participates in independent committee activities to facilitate overall work efficiency improvements. Maintains current understanding in industry or functional trends and disseminates throughout appropriate segments of business.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field  8+ years of experience in related field  4+ years of leadership experience

Annual Salary: $108,000-$134,000
