Manager, Employee Relations & Compliance
Overview:

The Manager of Employee Relations & Compliance is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for managing complex employee relations cases and overseeing critical compliance initiatives. This role acts as a trusted advisor within the HR organization, resolving escalated issues that require advanced judgment and professional maturity. Operating independently, the Senior Manager ensures consistency, fairness, and regulatory alignment across employee relations practices, supporting both HR leadership and frontline ER team members.


Responsibilities:Lead and resolve elevated employee relations cases involving sensitive or high-risk mattersServe as a primary escalation point for ER Managers, providing expert guidance and resolution strategiesPartner closely with the VP of HR to triage and manage high-priority issuesEnsure organizational compliance with applicable labor laws, HR policies, and regulatory standards (e.g., FMLA, ADA, Title VII, EEOC)Identify potential compliance risks and develop proactive mitigation strategiesDevelop and maintain documentation standards for ER investigations and compliance reportingCollaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Ethics, and Risk teams on investigations and auditsDeliver training and coaching to HR and management teams on ER and compliance topicsMonitor legislative and regulatory developments, interpreting their impact on company policiesProvide input on policy revisions to maintain legal and ethical integrity
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or JD preferred8+ years in Human Resources with direct experience in employee relations and complianceStrong understanding of employment law and regulatory frameworksExceptional judgment, confidentiality, and interpersonal skillsProven ability to manage conflict and resolve sensitive issues with professionalismExperience influencing stakeholders at all organizational levelsAbility to thrive in an independent, non-supervisory senior role
